EXION Fractional RF
What is EXION Fractional RF?
EXION Fractional RF uses new generation fractional RF microneedling. It combines monopolar radiofrequency with AI‑controlled pulsing to precisely deliver high energy to the dermis (approximately 1.5–4 mm for the face; up to 8 mm on the body). It targets enlarged pores, acne scars, other scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, and skin laxity. The treatment stimulates the neogenesis of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin to rebuild firm, smooth, and elastic skin.
How does EXION Fractional RF work?
- Monopolar RF × AI microneedle control: AI controls the heating based on skin condition, reaching up to about 75°C. Single‑pass delivery can evenly cover the area, reducing tissue injury and discomfort while shortening of downtime.
- Deeper, multi‑layer engagement: Extended Mode allows energy to reach beyond the needle insertion depth, effectively activating fibroblasts to initiate self‑repair and remodeling.
- 24K gold microneedle tip: High conductivity enables faster, more consistent energy delivery and results.
What is EXION Fractional RF best suited for?
- Acne scars
- Other scars and stretch marks
- Fine lines, wrinkles, and aging skinÂ
- Enlarged pores
- Facial and body skin laxity (e.g., upper arms, abdomen)
What to expect during treatment?
- Consultation and assessment: Identify concern areas and depth; set a personalized treatment plan.
- Cleanse and prep: Skin cleansing followed by topical numbing to enhance comfort.
- Energy delivery: Single‑pass AI controlled heating with RF remodeling to evenly cover target areas.
- Completion and aftercare: Your doctor will provide recovery and home‑care advice; most people can return to daily activities shortly after.
What are the treatment areas?
- Face: forehead, cheeks, sides of the nose, chin, nasolabial folds, lax areas
- Body: abdomen, upper arms, thighs, buttocks (deeper delivery can address laxity and textural issues)
Is the treatment painful?
Most people feel warmth and mild prickling. With topical anesthetic, treatment is generally tolerable.
How many sessions are needed to see results?
A typical course is at least 3–6 sessions, every 3 weeks. Many notice improvement after 1–2 sessions; completing a full cycle helps consolidate results.
How soon can I see results from?
Early benefits include smoother texture and firming of skin. As collagen and elastin gradually increase, improvements continue over several weeks to months after treatments. Clinical observations indicate that acne scar severity can reduce by about 41%, collagen may increase by up to 2.5× after 4 sessions and 98% of clients report satisfaction.
What to avoid after the treatment?
- You may gently cleanse as usual, but avoid vigorous rubbing of treated areas and avoid irritating skincare products.
- For 5 days, avoid excessive heat and heavy sweating (sauna, vigorous exercise, swimming). Withhold using of exfoliants, brightening agents, or retinoids for about one week.
- During the course and for at least one month after, pay extra attention to sun protection. Temporarily avoid other treatments on the same area (facials, peels, lasers, hair removal, tanning, etc.).
- Use soothing or reparative home‑care products as recommended; consult your doctor for professional advice.
Are there any side effects?
- Common and short-term: redness, warmth, mild swelling, or tenderness. Tiny micro‑crusting may appear for 1–3 days and naturally shed within 1–2 weeks – avoid picking.
- Safety: AI energy control and single‑pass design aim to minimize injury and shorten recovery. Individual responses vary; if you experience persistent discomfort, please contact the clinic promptly.
